A play to honour veterans is set to be performed at the legion in Owen Sound. It's being presented by The Fellowship of Ravens, which is a group that uses artistry to make a positive impact in the community. The Billy Bishop Museum and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 are holding the 22 nd Annual Honouring Our Local Veterans Ceremony at the legion on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. "Honouring Our Local Veterans is a very important ceremony that we have been doing for 22 years," said Emily Jolliffe, director and chief curator of the Billy Bishop Museum.

The service will take between 60 to 90 minutes, Dixon said. Everyone is welcome to come to the legion after the service for fellowship in the Club Room, and if they stay until 2 p.m., there's a banquet which usually is a roast beef dinner, served by the ladies auxiliary, Dixon said. The meal is free to veterans, $16 for all others.

Billy Bishop Museum and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 6, will host its 23rd Annual Honouring Our Local Veterans Ceremony (HOLV) ceremony at a free public event at Owen Sound Legion on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm. The venue opens at 1:30. You and your family can attend in person or view the ceremony on Cable channel 53 or archived.
