The Kerry Cliffs. The Kerry Cliffs tend to get overshadowed by the Cliffs of Moher,. It's a good 45-minute drive here from Portmagee so, when you arrive, hop out and head for a ramble. There's 7km of sand here so plenty of room to stroll. You'll often see surfers tackling the waves here. There's a fine big car park, too.

The small village of Portmagee is what connects County Kerry's hidden gem, Valentia Island, to the mainland. The village, which is home to some 120 or so people, is so small, you don't need transport to get around as you can walk from one end of the village to the other.
