I ran into this issue recently and found out that there is a semi-hidden setting on instagram that allows users to restrict whether or not their profile can be embedded outside of instagram. On iOS, I navigated to Settings > Preferences > Embeds > "Allow people to embed your posts or profile on other websites"

The Instagram Embed code is a block quote and script. This gets converted to an iFrame on rendering. The instagram post appears on the page, but not the caption. I can see the caption in the RTE, and when I view source on the page, I can see the caption, but it does not appear on the page. I'm not even sure how to approach this.


I couldn't able to embed instagram post programmatically. I am using jquery and off course, Instagram's embed.js. Normally when you embed a post via instagram itslef it is giving something like this:
